Membership into F&L Support:
Who should apply?
Before applying for membership it's important for you to understand that this group is for those of us who have searched and found a grave. If you have made contact with your lost loved one, no matter what the status of your reunion was before they died, then this group is not for you. Not meeting the person for whom we have searched is key here; it's the reason this group was formed. We understand the heartbreak of finding a lost loved one only to lose them again, to death, after they have been found, however, the difference between making contact, no matter how limited or full, and not being able to make any contact at all, is a monumental difference in our situations. The difference being, if you made contact with your lost loved one, you had a reunion and we have not.
How to apply?
Hold your cursor over the word, MEMBERSHIP, on the navigation bar located on the right side of this page; MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION will appear as a sub-page menu, click on "membership application," you will be taken to another page. This is the application form; fill out the application in full and click "Submit Form."  I will contact you with further instructions.
How does F&L Support Work?
We are an online support group who communicate via e-mail.  As a member your e-mail address will be added to our groups list of members.  When you post to the group your message will be sent to every member of F&L Support (including yourself) and you will receive support when the members of the list reply to your post. You will also have the option to write to any individual member on the list if you wish personal communication with that person.

What is our mission?
We are not professional therapists or grief counselors; we are ordinary people who share an uncommon loss, that being, we have lost the same person twice, once to adoption and then to death. We've come together to help each other walk this difficult path, to share our stories, to learn from each other's experiences and to find understanding. We will lend an ear to those who need to be heard, we will provide a shoulder to cry on for those who need help carrying their heavy load; we are here to sympathize, empathize, support, validate and share feelings not easily understood by most of our family and friends.

Primarily, we are a support group; that doesn't mean to say if you are active in reform you can not post on this list to ask for our members participation, you can, however, other groups exist for the purpose of reforming antiquated adoption laws; this groups main purpose is to support.

All members are required to have
