Darlene's only sister, Catherine Grace Springer a.k.a. Karen A. Bergstrom Schulze was lost to adoption at birth: Darlene found her sister gone on November 23, 2003. Karen, apparently heartbroken, took her own life on April 11, 1994; she was only 34 years old.

Marilyn lost her daughter, Toni Lee a.k.a. Susan Elizabeth Huff to adoption at birth. Marilyn found her daughter deceased in April of 1991. Susan died by her own hand on June 23, 1984; she was only 23 years old. | |

Matt is an adoptee who was separated from his first mother at birth; in May of 2002 Matt learned that his mother, Susan Crawford Wrenn, had passed away from breast cancer on May 10, 1991. She was only 40 years old.

Misha was only 20 years old.

Jill is an adoptee who searched for her first mother; Jill's search ended in August 2000. She found her mother, Carleen Hervey, had died on June 27, 1997 from heart failure due to chronic drug use. She was only 45 years old.

Pam lost her daughter Abigal Marie Fisher a.k.a. Heather Christine Hendrickson at birth on April 8, 1978. Pam learned that her daughter was deceased on the 27th anniversary of Heather’s birthday, April 8, 2005. Heather died on December 31, 1995; she was a passenger in a car that veered out of control and hit a tree. Heather was killed upon impact; she was only 17 years old.

Jennie is an adoptee who lost her first mother at birth; in January 2006 she found her mother, Joan Britton Patterson, had died from a stroke on March 27, 2005. Joan was only 57 years old.
